In case you hadn't heard, political celebrities Sarah Palin and Donald Trump broke bread over pizza in Times Square on Tuesday evening. Visiting New York as part of her national bus trip, Palin enjoyed the pizza and praised Trump after the meeting. "Dinner was great. We had great pizza. It was real New York pizza," Palin said. Many, however, objected to Trump's choice of restaurant for the meeting: Famous Famiglia.
Famiglia's is a chain restaurant that can be found in movie theaters and airports across the country. It also boasts international locations in China and Mexico. Leading the charge against the choice was comedian Jon Stewart during last night's episode of The Daily Show. Stewart said he used at to eat at Famiglia's while working as a comedian and called the chain's pizza "fine." But the comedian suggested several other New York pizzeria locations as being more appropriate for an esteemed celebrity.
- Lombardi's Pizza
- Grimaldi's Pizzeria
- Totonno's
- Arturo's
- John's Pizzeria
- Denino's Pizzeria and Tavern
- Joe's Pizza
Would you suggest somewhere else? Do you agree with Stewart? Check out the clip above.
