Alton Brown Announces End of "Good Eats"

Earlier this week, Alton Brown announced the end of Good Eats on Twitter, writing, "G.E. fans, I've decided to cut the half hour series at 249 eps. There will be 3 new 1 hour eps this year and that's it. But mourn not. New things brew on the horizon... 'good' things."

In its 249 episodes, Good Eats covered all things culinary, from wood-fired pizza to haggis, hollandaise and candy. Brown's signature blend of nutty scientist and curious chef endeared him to viewers, while his hands-on, accessible approach to cooking kept the series timeless.
