Foodie fashionistas will love the "Couture Cupcakes" editorial for Plaza Kvinna by prop stylist Lisa Edsalv and photographer Therese Aldgard. The pictorial features sets of cupcakes inspired by the fashion houses Betsey Johnson, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Agent Provocateur.
Each of the couture cupcakes is adorned with details that mimic the brand's signature aesthetic. The Louis Vuitton cupcakes, for example, are frosted in chocolate and topped with "L" and "V" sprinkles; they sit atop boxes covered in the fashion house's signature print. The Christian Louboutin couture cupcakes are fire engine-red with black frosting and a cherry, mimicking the signature red soles on Louboutin shoes. The Agent Provocateur cupcakes feature a playful twist on the lingerie brand's sensual collection with pink-tipped cupcake frosting and sequined pasties.
The Betsey Johnson image from the "Couture Cupcakes" editorial is the most playful of the bunch, with bright candy sprinkles, pastel frosting and a teal background that channels the brand's whimsical nature. These couture cupcakes are just too beautiful to eat!
