Just ask Vh1. Continuing in the vein of "celebreality" comes Famous Food, the network's latest attempt to showcase D-list celebrities in all of their clueless glory. But this time, they are trying to start a restaurant.
*Cue the fire department*
Reality stars Heidi Montag, Danielle Staub and Jake Pavelka, along with former call girl and singer (?) Ashley Dupre, DJ Paul and Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia and The Sopranos' Vincent Pastore will be building a dining establishment from the ground up. Luckily, they will not be going it alone. Los Angeles restaurateurs Mike Malin and Lonnie Moore of the Dolce Group will help these celebs renovate, conceptualize, market, staff, build the menu and open Famous Food.
At the end of eight weeks, Malin and Moore will grant the most deserving participant (or whoever didn't burn themselves on the range) a stake in the restaurant.
Let's just hope Bachelor Jake knows that it's uncouth to remove one's shirt in the kitchen. But with this cast, any combination of clothing lapse and hysteria are possible.
Famous Food will debut its 10 hour-long episodes this fall.
