In probably one of the more ironic sounding moves out there, popular United States-based Chinese food chain Panda Express is considering expanding their stores into a new country: China. “I’m working on some angles,” Chairman Andrew Cherng told Forbes during a trip to China. The largest Chinese food chain in the United States, the Panda Restaurant Group operates more than 1,400 stores across the country under the names of Panda Express, Panda Inn and Hibachi-San. The company is privately held and opened the first store in Pasadena, California in 1973. Cherng said he would consider working with Golden Eagle International Group, a Chinese company that has helped previous big-name American restaurants like Starbucks, Dairy Queen and Papa John's launch successfully in China.
