A food truck burst into flames after colliding with another vehicle on the afternoon of April 11, snarling traffic for hours and sending two workers to the hospital with serious injuries. You can see a picture of the truck (complete with awesome mascot) before the accident above.
Witness reports suggest a propane tank on the Frites 'N' Meats truck ignited after the collision and caused serious damage to the vehicle. Another owner, who was not on the truck when the explosion occurred, took to Twitter during the evening to update everyone on the men's condition:
"My brother got burned/bruisedup as they jumped out. But they will be ok. Will update; but found & in great care."
In an eerie twist, the most recent CSI:NY episode had an exploding food truck at a festival at the center of the episode. That's where the similarities end, though. Thankfully no one died in this incident and foul play is not expected. Here's a promo for the episode. Check it out on CBS' website.
