Word on the street is that hot dogs are the next burger. Think about it: they're easy to make, easily customizable, delicious and you can do some ridiculous things to them. These two creations prove that notion correct.
1) Serendipity Foot Long Haute Dog: This is "12 Inches of Beef Perfection" and holds the honor of the World's Most Expensive Hot Dog. Made by the NYC landmark Serendipity 3, the Guinness Book of World Records have officially certified the creation as the world's most expensive. The dog features 12 inches of superior quality beef grilled in white truffle oil, a pretzel bun that has been grilled with white truffle butter, topped with foie grois and black truffles. It costs $69. Apparently, it can be split because some people might consider it "rich." Ya think? You can see the finished product pictured above as it's meant to be consumed.
2) Tiger Woods Homewrecker Hot Dog: A sports bar in Augusta, where the Masters Golf Tournament is being played, has begun offering a hot dog in homage to Tiger Woods (though I doubt he approves). Somewhere in Augusta told TMZ that they generally sell around 30 of the dogs a day. The dog features a 12-inch hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon, topped with chili, more cheese and onions. Oh, and it's deep fried. You can see a tiny image of the hot dog above.
