Kel's Sunday Joes

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
Salt/pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2/3 cup hot mustard
2/3 cup ketchup
1 diced green pepper, small dice
1 diced white onion, small dice

Preparation

In a heavy skillet (I use my cast iron) cook the ground beef with salt & pepper to taste. DO NOT DRAIN! Push the beef to the sides and as the juices from the meat flow to the center, add in the brown sugar and stir.

Once the sugar has completely melted, combined back with the beef & add the minced garlic.

Once combined, add in the hot mustard, ketchup, canned tomatoes, green peppers & onions. The mixture will seem overly loose but you need to keep stirring and let the mixture reduce until desired texture.

Serve with warmed buns or my favorite is with tortilla chips & eat as a wicked YUMMY DIP!!
