Bianca Avelino-Oldham

I grew up in Long Island,NY where my family would make weekly trips to Manhattan and Queens. It was there that I got my first exposure to eclectic styles of cooking. My family & I moved to FL where I finished high school & college. It was in college that I first learned to cook, watching the Food Network on a frequent basis. Upon graduation, I moved to Orlando. Since I was new in town I made it a point to try a lot of restaurants in the area, just to see what was out there. That was when I first started to review restaurants. I moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and have done what I did previously in Orlando, getting to know the area through food. Combining my first passion, writing as well as my love of food, I’ve embarked on a journey where I not only get to know the streets of LA but the eats as well. Being in the South Bay, I will review restaurants in this area but greater LA restaurants that I have ventured to will also be included. I will also include recipes that have helped shaped me, as well as commentary on anything food related that comes to mind!
