A True Pink Lemonade Cake

Ingredients

1 package white cake mix
1 1/2 packages pink lemonade koolaide, unsweetened
Icing:
Vanilla icing (Crisco-based)
1 packages1 to 1 ½ p unsweetened koolaide pink lemonade mix

Preparation

Mix cake mix according to directions. Add the koolaide mix. Bake according to directions on box. Cool.

Mix your favorite vanilla frosting; add 1 to 1 1/2 packages of the koolaide according to how tart you wish icing to be. Spread on your cake.

A friend shared this recipe with me. She worked to mimic a pink lemonade cake which a local bakery in Winston-Salem sold. It is a close replica and is very good. It always gets raves when I make it. I even had a young lady have me make this flavor for her wedding cake.
