Marvelous Blood Orange Mojito Cocktail

Nothing says summer quite like a refreshing citrus-based cocktail. This thirst quenching rum cocktail combines the zesty flavors of lime and orange with fresh mint and sparkling water for a that’s sweet and sour and sure to please. Best of all, one serving is only 155 calories!

Looking for a kid-friendly version? Simply replace the rum with orange juice for a fruity and minty smoothie.

Replace rum with orange juice and pour blended mixture into popsicle molds. The kids will love them!

Follow the above instructions and instead pour into ice cube trays. It’s a flavorful way to enjoy sparkling water and white wine!

Blood Orange Mojito

Makes 1 beverage

1  lime, juiced
2  blood oranges, peeled and halved
3   fl oz rum
2   tbsp sugar or sugar substitute 
11  mint leaves
1   c sparkling water
1   c ice cubes

Note: this recipe uses a Blendtec blender, a commercial-quality blender.  We love it because it powers through tough ingredients with ease, like ice, leaving no chunks. Nothing but smooth! If you don’t have a Blendtec, simply add all ingredients to your regular blender and process until smooth.
