These chocolate Rice Krispies pops from Week of Menus are fun way to enjoy your favorite childhood treat. Rice Krispies (or any brand puffed rice cereal) is combined with marshmallows, butter and cocoa powder to make the base of the pops. Cayenne pepper and cinnamon are added to the mixture to give these treats an extra (and unexpected) kick of flavor. These are perfect for child parties and even something you can make with the kids. Chocolate Rice Krispies pops are a simple but nostalgic dessert.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
40 regular marshmallows or 4 cups mini marshmallows
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
⅜ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 ½ tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
6 cups Rice Krispies (I actually prefer the Trader Joe’s Rice Crispies - but the Kellogg’s original are good as well)
