Starbucks Perv Hits Washington DC

September 20, 2011

A man and his five-year-old daughter have filed a lawsuit against Starbucks after they were filmed on hidden camera using a unisex bathroom.

William Yockey and his family came to Washington DC in April of this year. They stopped in a Starbucks on 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Upon finding one of the bathrooms closed, Yockey and his daughter used the other. The young girl spotted a camera underneath the sink and Yockey confirmed it was filming digital images.

"We, as a company, take our obligation to provide a safe environment very seriously," company spokesman Alan Hilowitz said. "When we were alerted, we called the police."

According to the complaint, the family suffers "permanent and continuing emotional pain and suffering, humiliation, embarrassment and great emotional distress." A judge refused to dismiss the case.
