Churros are not just fair food, you can make these treats at home. The dough is a pate choux or cooked dough. It is the same dough used for cream puffs and eclairs. Mexican churros are covered in cinnamon and sugar while Spanish churros are served plain and dipped into a thick hot chocolate (closer to pudding). If you can't decide do both! If you really want to be indulgent, you and fill the churros with chocolate, pasty cream, or sweetened condensed milk.
Ingredients:
2 cups canola oil
1 cup water
½ cup butter
¼ teaspoon salt
