Now that it is practically summer here in Greece, everywhere you look there are frappes. I thought I’d start with a simple smoothie recipe to get ya’ll in the mood for pollen, but there are many ways of incorporating these amazing golden granules into your daily diet. Sprinkle it on your morning cereal or lunch-time salad, top your desserts, add to salad dressing, or fold it into your raw food snacks (like The Raw Brownie perhaps?).

Even though wine is my first love, a good craft beer is also high on my list. Any time I am working near Burbank I always make time to swing into Tony’s Darts Away for some amazing food and a nice cold brew.

If you are looking at German wines in your average wine shop, Germany can seem like a monoculture: there is Riesling as far as the eye can see and little else.

If you plan on watching the Derby this weekend, do yourself a favor; put on your straw boater or big feathery hat, pick the horse with the silliest name to root for and mix up this delicious little Southern sipper.

I can safely say that tamarind pods are among the strangest ingredient we’ve ever worked with. Beneath their egg-like shell is a sticky pulp that covers a handful of hard seeds.
