I love baking with pumpkin, but I always seem to have some leftover! Not enough to bake something else, but too much to throw away. Enter this homemade pumpkin spice coffee creamer.

Don’t worry – you don’t actually have to use Meyer lemons for this cocktail if you can’t find them. I always scoop them up when I can find them because it’s a cross between a regular lemon and an orange. Either one you go with is delish with the blueberries!

Delicious fresh pumpkin pie in a glass – smoothie style. Yum! All of the delicious spices and flavors of pie in less than ten minutes. Who needs the crust? This smoothie is tasty!

It's binge blogging again - and this time the subject is Orangecello from the Ventura Limoncello Company. I discovered this delightful liqueur early this Summer as I was finishing up a purchase at K&L Wines here in Hollywood.

Autumn is in the air. I think? The weather in the Northeast cannot seem to make up its temperamental mind. Last Saturday brought the first snow of the season. I am not talking about a few beautiful, puffy white flakes, I mean the skies opened up and hurled miniature snowballs to the world below all day long. I equipped our bed with warm flannel sheets and our neighbors cranked their dusty radiators.

I’ve been waiting with bated breath to unveil images from the Summer in Savannah shoot I styled last month…and the day has finally arrived! I collaborated with an amazing team that included The Byrd Collective, Antiquaria and She-n-He Photography to create a fête dripping with Southern charm…and I think it all came together as gorgeous inspiration for an end of summer bachelorette party, baby shower or birthday celebration. Hope on over to100 Layer Cake to check out all the details from food to favors, and follow the jump for the exclusive recipe for our Savannah Fizz cocktail!

One of my favourite drinks in the world is a Chai Tea Latte. I love the spicy aroma, creamy milk, and the sweetness from the honey and sugar. This recipe for Spicy Chai Tea turned out amazing. It is the perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness.

This past weekend there was some interesting weather. While we were experiencing a heat wave in San Diego, parts of the East Coast were experiencing some severe snow. In October!

Although I’m not lactose intolerant (which I’m thankful for), my dairy consumption especially the good kind has been a disgrace. You know how deep my love is for cheese and creamy pasta, somehow I couldn’t show the same level of affection for milk and yoghurt.

The really cool temperatures are creeping in here in Wyoming and nothing warms you up like a nice cup of hot cocoa. I decided to give my cocoa a new twist with some Nutella and cinnamon. I get teased a lot about my fondness of Nutella and when my husband eyed my hot cocoa the teasing began. He said, “Well one time at Nutella camp.” I just laughed and immediately started thinking about Camp Nutella, would’nt that be fun!

I think most of you know about my love affair with mojitos so when Jeanine (our photographer) told me she had a cucumber mojito recipe I was all ears. I love agua de pepino (fresh cucumber water) as well as cucumber martinis, so it only made sense to make a refreshing cucumber mojito.

h, it's finally starting to feel like Fall here in Southern California. After the last few hot weeks, I'm eagerly greeting Fall!! The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Fall and Winter is Egg Nog and cute coats and boots...I can't wait to pull mine out!

found this recipe in a little Halloween booklet I picked up years ago that seems to have completely disappeared online! I loved the idea of an herbal witch's brew to serve on Halloween. Although they serve it warm, I added the concoction to some lime soda and it was quite tasty.

It’s not even winter yet but it’s getting colder and colder every day. Brrr. I’m not a fan of cold weather, never have and I don’t think I ever will so I always try to come up with food and drinks that can warm me up and make cold days a little better. Recently, on one of those days, I took a bottle of pure apple juice, mixed it up with some spices and made this delicious spiced apple drink. It’s officially my new favorite winter drink!

This is a classic, but we decided to Halloween-ify it for the season. Now, we know this might be a throw back to your college years, but it’s still a great cocktail. Choose high quality vodka (something like Stoli, Grey Goose or Absolute) as well as a great orange juice, we usually buy the Simply Orange brand.

I'm still very much not unpacked. But today is Friday, and rather than spend my weekend digging through boxes, spackling drywall, or scrubbing tar out of the carpet, at exactly 14:45 I'm boarding a Bolt Bust and heading to NYC for the weekend to leave my troubles behind catch up with some of the loves of my pre and post blogging life.

Dishoom is a relatively new Indian cafe in London serving Bombay street food. Steve and I love it and particularly recommend the vada pau and the virgin bombalada - a spicy remake of the classic cocktail the virgin pina colada.

Last week I spent almost an hour in the store – in the Halloween aisle(s). The manufacturers have put their best marketers to work and they have their sites on easy targets like me. No idea has been left unpack aged.

When it comes to brunch, a number of dishes come to mind. Bacon with pancakes piled high, eggs benedict with hollandaise, steak and eggs, anyone? A mimosa or three? Don’t get me wrong, I love all of those things. Honestly I think there needs to be more hollandaise in my life, although my doctor probably wouldn’t agree.

t may not be blueberry season but it’s a good time for smoothies. The cranberries add a really nice flavor and beautiful color. Water is good for you and I know you should drink a lot of it but sometimes on beautiful sunny fall days that reach 80 degrees it’s nice to have a refreshing smoothie just like this.

It’s like mother nature is passing out crack to everyone. People are running around, gushing and crying over pumpkin bread, pea coats, and falling leaves. Chilaxx people.

During a recent trip to Copenhagen, I stayed an extra day to explore (and revisit) its bars, courtesy of the Danish Cherry Heering liqueur. My job was to run around and drink Cherry Heering cocktails at the best bars in town: tough job!

Ok, so admittedly cute little candy corns aren’t exactly “spooky” when it comes to Spooky Eats Week, but they fit into the Halloween theme…so…here they are.

I heard a commercial for Dunkin' Donuts' pumpkin products on the radio the other day that made me laugh. This guy goes to order, and finds out the pumpkin flavor is only available for a limited time during fall. So he wants to load up on pumpkin donuts & muffins... in some random lady's purse and also some other guy's briefcase. Plus a dump truck for the coffee.

A collection of health enhancing juices which not only replenish, restore and revitalize. You'll be surprised how wonderful the flavors can be. Experiment and make your own concoctions but here are some ideas which I make everyday at home. And here its for you :)

So this is how it went. Our neighbours came up trumps again by donating a big basket of beautiful little Discovery apples from their tree. I must send George round to fetch his ball back more often.

A couple of days ago, one of our neighbors, Jill, stopped by and gave me a huge bag filled with freshly picked limes. The following day, Jon came upstairs with 5 fresh Guavas he had picked from the tree at the entrance of our property.

I am always looking for a way to incorporate more vegetables into my toddler’s diet. I came up with this recipe during my quest to make smoothies that tasted great and were really healthy as well.

We had this drink for breakfast today. Clearly it is me who is in charge of food and drinks in our family. It is possible you might find more ‘HEHEs’ in this post for some reason that I don’t really understand.
