Health Bread

Ingredients

1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking powder
cup Sugar (white)
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 cups Ground quick cooking -
1/2 cup Molasses
2 tablespoons Melted shortening
2 cups Sour milk
1 cup Raisins

Preparation

Sift the first five ingredients together. Add the oats, molasses, melted shortening and milk. Mix thoroughly and add the raisins. Pour into a large greased loaf pan. Let it set for 20 minutes then bake about 1 hour at 350F.

Note: The rolled oats may be ground with a rolling pin or in the meat grinder.
