Easy White Bread

Ingredients

2 tablespoons rapid rise yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon oil
1 egg, beaten

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine yeast, sugar, salt, oil, and warm water. Mix well. Stir in flour until dough pulls away from side of bowl. Knead for approximately 5 minutes on a floured surface, until smooth and elastic. Let dough rest for 5 minutes.

Shape into 2 loaves. Brush with beaten egg. Cover with towel; let rise about 10 minutes.

Bake until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
