Super Simple Easy Yummy Hearty Spaghetti & Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup onion, chopped (optional, if you don't like' em, don't add' em!)
1 pound lean ground beef (or wild meat) (optional if your a vegetarian)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 big cans of tomatoes (19 oz each)
1 cup water
1 can tomato sauce (small fat can)
1 cup mushrooms, cleaned, sliced
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon basil (or a couple leaves if you grow the stuff fresh)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or chop up a clove and throw that in)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
(whatever else you feel like throwing in, so right ahead!)

Preparation

1
Cook the onions and beef in a frying pan until brown.
2
At the same time, in a nice big pot, put in all your ingredients (except the mushrooms. Put those in at the same time as the beef so as not to over cook them)
3
Add your cans of tomatoes (or actual tomatoes if you're that hard core) and when you pour in your tomatoes, sauce and paste, wash out the can with half a can of water, each, to make sure all the juices are out. If you want this sauce thicker, skip the water and just clean them out good with a rubber spatula.
4
Cook pasta sauce on medium heat while the meat is cooking.
5
Once the meat and onions are done, add them to the sauce and cook for a while longer.
6
Usually is done within a half hour or longer. Depends on when you think its done!
7
Add to spaghetti or other noodles and enjoy with asiago & mozza cheese!!
