Ingredients
6 decent sized Yukon Gold Potatoes, rinsed, peeled and cubed.
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed
Preparation
1
Peel and cube your potatoes, then place in a large pot
2
Add the smashed garlic
3
Fill the pot with enough water so that the potatoes are just covered.
4
Add sea salt to your water, along with cracked black pepper.
5
Cover pot with lid and bring to a boil.
6
Once boiling, remove the lid and leave the potatoes alone.
When you do check the potatoes you will know they are ready when you scrape them against the side of the pot and they disintegrate.
7
Pour out most of the boiling liquid, leave a little bit of the water. When pouring out the liquid do not pour out the garlic clove pieces.
9
Mix in with the cubed potatoes.
10
Add about a 1/4 cup of milk, and begin mashing away.
