Prawns In Chili Sauce

Ingredients

6 lg. prawns, or 1 lb. 4 oz. med. size
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons cooking wine ( this could be omitted)
7 tablespoons cooking oil
1 tablespoon ginger (chopped)
1/2 stalk spring onion (chopped) (scallions)
3 chili peppers, chopped
6 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon cooking wine
Dash MSG ( avoid MSG, its bad for health)

Preparation

Wash prawns, cut off tail, remove legs and heads. Devein. Cut each into 3 sections. Marinate prawns in soy sauce and wine. Heat 5 to 6 tablespoons oil, fry prawns until skin turns pink. Set aside. Add remaining oil.

Fry ginger, onion, garlic, and peppers. Add seasonings and stir well. Return fried prawns to pan. Mix well and serve while hot with rice.
