Cynthia Corpuz

Over the years I’ve realized that I love everything about food. I love everything from the taste to texture, to even the science, philosophy and politics surrounding food. I love how it can comfort, how it can surprise and how it can even disgust the senses. Sometimes I love cooking more than eating, where the culinary creations conjured up in my head are manifested through my finger tips to bring people together in a nourishing delight. I love browsing the produce department or farmer’s market, thinking of fresh combinations and ways to cook vegetables. I love complicated recipes, with all its classical techniques as much as I love the simple, forward thinking ones. This was my initial inspiration for creating The Average Foodie.

Hopefully my adventures in food exploration will inspire the next home cook to discover that great food is just a kitchen away.
