Born and raised in Munich, Germany. First career: pop music arranger and producer. Emigrated to the States in 1981. Chef School in Austin, TX; graduated in 1992. Worked in a number of Austin restaurants and hotels, specializing in pastry, wedding cakes, sugar art. Started own business "Sweet Venus Delights" in 2001. Creator of Agasweet flavored agave nectar, sold nationwide through Whole Foods Markets. Now manufacturing specialty candies and agave boutique flavors for whole sale and local farmers markets. Since January 2008, food blogger and web consultant on Squidoo.com, SquidLog.com, and chefkeem.com.
