I'm not a trained chef, I've just spent years sifting though cookbooks, recognizing the good from the bad recipes and cooking...cooking...cooking.

My theory is you just need to be able to follow instructions well. And of course tweak the recipe to your liking. Voila!

My name is Lea Ann and I'm based in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We're about 30 miles south of Denver.

My posts will include cooking adventures in my kitchen, with restaurant trips in the Denver area and beyond.

My theory about restaurants is to always patronize our small business owners. I try not to visit chain restaurants.

My theory about grocery shopping: I shop at Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage, or Tony's Market for just about everything. Not only for the whole foods, organic experience, but the quality is just plain superior.

Oh yeah, and then there's our obsessive birdwatching habit. You'll also read about our birding adventures.

My husband and I also love the challenge of pairing the perfect wine with our dinner.
