If you would like to add even more flavor to your grilled corn, you can brush on honey butter or barbecue sauce with a sprinkling of fresh chopped herbs. Bacon wrapped grilled corn is a quick and easy side dish for Labor Day or any cookout.
Ingredients:
12 fresh corn ears, shucked
Milk, for soaking
12 slices thinly-sliced bacon
Directions:
Heat a barbecue or stove-top grill, or alternatively, preheat broiler. In a large bowl cover corn with milk and leave to soak 20 minutes.
Wrapbacon in a spiral around each ear of corn, lengthwise, stretching bacon to cover corn from tip to bottom; secure bacon at both ends with toothpicks. Place corn on grill and cook, turning occasionally, until corn is tender. Kernels should brown lightly but not blacken. Discard bacon slices before serving.
