You will soon be able to eat likes the vampires, shapeshifters, fairies and witches of Bon Temps with the release of the True Blood cookbook. Creator of the show, Alan Ball, talks about the importance of food in the hit series in a trailer for the upcoming book.
"Fried food, stuff that was stewed within an inch of its life, everything was full of salt, and it was delicious," he said of growing up in the south.
Ball also takes a look back at some of the most iconic food scenes from True Blood, like when Sookie eats Gran's leftover pie and the infamous Hunter's Souffle.
True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps will be released on September 5.
