When Bobby Valentine was introduced as the new Red Sox manager on Thursday, foodie fans of the baseball franchise had just one question: Did he really invent the wrap? "Oy, the wrap thing," Valentine mused, shaking his head.
Valentine says that in 1980, he invented the wrap at his restaurant Bobby Valentine's Sports Gallery Cafe after his toaster broke. "From that day on, they called it a wrap," he explained. "People say that they never heard of a wrap before that."
