Dum Aloo

Ingredients
900 grams Aloo (Potatoes)
3/4 cup water
salt, to taste
1 cup ghee
1 large onion (finely chopped)
4 tablespoons tomato puree
140 mls curd
4 tablespoons hot water
1 green pepper (seeds removed and sliced)
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
4 cloves (long)
6 black peppercorns (kali mirch)
4 green cardamoms (hari ilayachi)
1 brown cardamom (doda/moti ilaychi)
1 piece cinnamon stick (daalchini)
Paste:
1 large onion, chopped
12 flakes garlic
2 tablespoons ginger
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 dry red chilies
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
A pinch of ground mace
A pinch of ground nutmeg (jayfal)

Sprinkle the dum aloo with pepper and garam masala and cook for few minutes.
