Rum Raisin Calas
Ingredients
1 cup dark rum
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
2 eggs, room temperature
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered sugar for dusting

In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Line baking sheet with paper towels.

Heat oil in deep fryer or heavy large saucepan to 350 degrees F.
