About

Sambuca is an Italian, anise flavoured liqueur. It is usually served as an after dinner drink either straight up, warmed with or without coffee beans, or mixed with coffee.

Physical Description

Traditional sambuca is clear, however there are a number of varieties in red or black as well as other flavours.

Selecting and Buying

Choosing: If planning on serving by itself, buy the best you can afford.

Lower priced sambuca can be used if mixing with coffee or other liquids.

Preparation and Use

To serve straight: Pour each serving into a cordial glass.
Add to coffee or cola to taste

Conserving and Storing

Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
