Patriotic Oreo Cookie Truffles

June 26, 2014

Forget cake pops, mini cupcakes and handheld pies.  These Oreo cookie truffles are an individual treat that are a snap to make.  Oreo cookie crumbs are combined with softened cream cheese and formed into balls.  The truffles are then dipped into white chocolate and dusted with sprinkles.

Naturally, this patriotic version is perfect for the Fourth of July but you can mix up the colors to match any event.  Also, Nabisco has expanded their Oreo repertoire to include other flavors besides chocolate so feel free to make this recipe with vanilla, ice cream, peanut butter or other fun Oreo flavor.

You will be surprised at how easy this recipe is and soon enough will be making them for every occasion.
