A watermelon slush is the answer to cooling you down on a hot summer day. This icy beverage is made simply with chunks of sweet watermelon that has been frozen and then crushed in a blender with lemonade and some sugar. You can add in additional flavorings like mint or strawberry.
Watermelon Slush
Ingredients:
8 cups Cubed seeded watermelon
½ cup Sifted powdered sugar
6 ounces Frozen lemonade concentrate, (1 can) thawed and undiluted
Mint sprigs, (optional)
Directions:
Place watermelon in a large bowl; cover and freeze.
Place half of frozen watermelon, half of powdered sugar, and half of concentrate in a blender, and process until smooth.
Pour mixture into individual glasses. Repeat procedure with remaining watermelon, powdered sugar, and concentrate.
Serving Ideas : Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired. Serve immediately.
Yield:7 cups (serving size: 1 cup).
