Housemade Garlic Ranch Dressing

August 22, 2012
Housemade garlic ranch dressing is better than the bottled stuff.  This creamy dressing is super simple to make and doesn't contain "modified food starch" or "artificial flavors," it's all natural.  Drizzle your garlic ranch dressing over your salad, use it as a dipping sauce for your chicken fingers, or spread it on bread for your sandwich.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 garlic clove finely chopped
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender; puree until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

This recipe yields 16 servings.

Comments: To turn this into classic Ranch dressing, leave out the garlic clove.
