Kirstie Alley lost 100 pounds while on Dancing With The Stars last year and attributed the loss to diet pills she endorses, Organic Liaison. However, a woman in California used the product and has slapped Alley with a class-action lawsuit stating that Alley lied about what actually helped her lose weight.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Marina Abramyan claims Alley's endorsement with Organic Liaison makes "false and misleading advertising claims that [the program] can cause significant weight loss."
The papers also quotes Alley's commercials, saying, "I am proof of its success, I lost one hundred pounds on Organic Liaison... I can assure you that if you follow this program, you'll get healthier, lose weight, and not be annoyingly hungry."
Abramyan says the diet pills do no such thing and Alley actually lost her weight while training for Dancing With The Stars, which had the actress dancing five to seven hours every day.
