Meatopia, the meat-centric food festival, is back for their ninth year in a row on September 8, 2012. The theme of this year's competition is "City of Meat" where different neighborhoods will be presenting dishes using a particular kind of meat as the main ingredients (beef, veal, lamb, offal etc...). Depending on your taste, you can visit the various booths and sample this first class cuisine. Notable chefs including Marc Forgione, Adam Perry Lang, April Bloomfield, Sean Brock, George Mendes, and more will be attending and cooking plenty of meat. In addition, Whole Foods will be holding the finals of their legendary Best Butcher Contest at the event. Tickets begin at $140.00 (group discount available) and can be purchased online.
