Miranda Lambert: I Don't Care About Being Stick-Thin

May 27, 2012

Miranda Lambert has recently made steps to leading a healthier lifestyle, but says it has nothing to do with wanting to be "stick-thin."

"I don't care about being stick-thin. I don't want stuff to juggle. Really skinny actresses make me hungry -- I see them and think, 'Honey, you need to eat!' I'm lucky I don't have to live like that," the country singer said. "I feel my best when I'm a toned, not flabby, size 8. Women come up to me and say, 'You're beautiful and confident, and that makes me feel I can be, too.'"

Lambert says she is hungriest after a performance, but she has started to opt for healthier post-show foods.

"I always scarf down food after a show. But now, instead of eating a burger, I'll have a grilled-chicken salad waiting on me," she said. "And except for almonds and bananas, I don't keep snacks on the bus. I don't want Cheetos anywhere around me."
