Frozen Berries Suspect in Hepatitis A Outbreak

April 8, 2012

Over the last two months, there have been 8 cases of hepatitis A in British Comumbia that the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control think may be linked to Pomeberry Blend frozen berries. This product is manufactured by Western Family foods.

This blend, distributed through Save-On-Foods and Overwaitea, has Pomegranate seeds, blueberries, cherries and strawberries.

No other frozen product by Western Family foods is suspect at this time, according to the BCCDC.
