Bryan Voltaggio To Open Casual Lunch Restaurant

November 15, 2011

Top Chef veteran and celebrated Maryland restaurateur Bryan Voltaggio will expand his restaurant empire with a casual dining concept, due to open in December. Called Lunchbox, the new restaurant will open just five blocks away from Voltaggio's flagship Volt Restaurant in Frederick, Maryland.

Lunchbox is just the latest in a series of moves for the Maryland chef. Voltaggio also plans to open a diner concept in the early months of 2012, a meat-focused restaurant called Range in Chevy Chase, Maryland and the Eataly-like North Market Kitchen in downtown Frederick.

"I always wanted to offer an impeccable, quick and casual lunch to our guests, and by separating our lunch and dinner service into two separate restaurants, each can fully concentrate on delivering the best meal possible," Voltaggio said of Lunchbox, in a press release.

Volt will suspend lunch service except for Saturday and Sunday when the new lunch spot opens.
