Thrive Portion Ware is a conceptual set of dishes by San Francisco-based designer Sally Ng that aims to help diners eat 20 percent less food each meal. The plate features a raised slice that tips the plate off-kilter if food is placed on it, and the words "restraint," "control" and "willpower" are printed on the bottom of the plate.
Ng's design won a Student Notable award at the 2011 Core77 Design Awards. Do you think designs like Thrive Portion Ware can help consumers properly envision healthy portion sizes?
