Roasted Celery

Ingredients

1 pkt Celery hearts, cut in half lengthways
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 Clove garlic.crushed, (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
50 grams Fresh white breadcrumbs, (2oz)
25 grams Butter, melted (1oz)
1 tablespoon Freshly chopped thyme

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 190 C,375 F, Gas Mark 5.

Place the celery in an ovenproof dish and brush with oil and roast for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile mix together the breadcrumbs, butter, thyme and season.

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mix on top of the celery and return to the oven for a further 10 minutes.

NOTES : A simple but delicious roasted vegetable dish which compliments any meat or fish dish
