Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

2 cups thin pretzels
stk butter
3 tablespoons sugar
12 ounces Cool Whip
2 cups hot water
8 ounces cream cheese
cup sugar
cup crushed pineapple (drained)
1 lrg box strawberry Jello (6 ounce)
2 frozen strawberries (10 ounce)

Preparation

Break pretzels and place in 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt 1 1/2 sticks of butter and 3 tablespoons sugar together; pour over pretzels. Bake 8 minutes at 400 F; let cool, then break up with a knife.

Mix together the following; 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup drained crushed pineapple, 12 ounces of Cool Whip; spread over pretzels.

Mix a large box (6 ounce) of strawberry Jello and 2 cups of hot water. Add 2 (10 ounce) boxes of frozen strawberries; allow to jell slightly and pour over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate.
