Parathas

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

Put 3 1/2 cups flour, salt and lemon pepper in a large mixing bowl; stir to combine.

Slowly add the water and knead.

Dust cutting board with flour.

Take tangerine-size amount of dough and flatten to burger patty-size.

Brush with oil and cover top of dough.

Fold oil into dough.

Add flour as needed.

Brush frying pan lightly with oil and place over medium heat.

Using a rolling pin, flatten dough.

Put flattened dough into frying pan (one at a time), and when it changes color and starts bubbling, flip it over.

Press wet areas to bubble further.

Flip, oil other side and serve immediately.

About

Parathas are similar to pita bread, but without the pocket inside. They are a staple of India and are quite delicious.
