Deep-South Skillet Cornbread

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Cornmeal
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Milk
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
Preparation

In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients together, then stir in milk until dry ingredients are moistened.

Add oil to batter and stir well.

Heat a greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet until very hot. Pour in batter, then bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
