How to Make Vermicelli Idlis

Ingredients

1 cup White Vermicelli
1/4 cup Semolina (Sooji)
1/4 cup Water
2 tbsp Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup
1/4 cup Green Peas
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
A pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
1 tsp Baking soda
2 tbsp Oil (for vermicelli)
2 tbsp Oil (for tempering)
1/4 Cup Beans, finely chopped
1/4 Cup Carrots, grated
A few Curry Leaves
1/2 cup Curd

Preparation

In a pan, add some oil and mustard seeds. Once the seeds splutter add the curry leaves, hing, beans, peas, carrots, sooji & vermicelli and roast them all well.

Once it’s well roasted, take it out in a bowl.

To this add curd, salt, baking soda & water and mix it well. This will be the batter.

To this batter add some Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup. Add some more water if required

Fill in the idli moulds with the batter and place them in the steamer.

Steam these idlis for around 15 mins.

Once they are steamed take them out and place them in the tiffin box.

Add some dry fruits to the tiffin as well.
