This recipe was entered in The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook contest, a compilation of the world’s best food blogs which was published in Fall 2010.

Ingredients

210 grams Flour
100 grams sugar
1 tablespoon vacilla essence
170 grams dark chocolate
75 grams butter
180 grams milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Fondant:
100 grams white chocolate
20 grams butter
Decoration:
tiny meringues or sugar violet

Preparation

Melt the chocolate with butter in a pan on a low heat;

Then add egg, milk, vanilla essence and mix.

Mix together in a bowl all the “dry” ingredients as flour, sugar baking powder and salt and then add them into the chocolate mixture.

The dough must be nubby and not smooth; put it into the muffin paper and cook in oven at 180°C for 20 min.

Fondant:

Melt chocolate and butter in a pan on a low heat and cover muffins when they’re cold.

Put the icing on the top of the muffins using a spoon.

Decorate with meringues or other sugar flowers.
