Corn Fritters

Ingredients

2 cups Aunt Jemima corn meal mix self-rising white
1/2 cup milk
1 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable shortening, oil or drippings

Preparation

Mix the meal mix and the milk. Add the water and mix until blended. Spoon approximately 1/3 cup mix into the hot well-greased skillet for each fritter. Fry to golden brown on both sides. Makes approximately 6 medium-sized fritters.
