Shortbread Creams

Ingredients

pound Butter
cup Sugar
1 Egg, beaten
2 tablespoons Milk
pound Wholemeal SR Flour
1 pch Salt
1 teaspoon Orange rind, grated
1 tablespoon Icing Sugar
1 tablespoon Butter
1 tablespoon Orange juice

Preparation

Cream butter (or lard) and sugar, add beaten egg with milk and stir into wholemeal SR flour, mix with salt and orange rind.

Put teaspoonfuls on a tray and bake until brown and crisp.

When cold put together with this filling: - cream icing sugar and butter and orange juice.
