Kofte

Ingredients

2 mediums -sized slices of crustless stale, soaked briefly in bread, wat
1 medium -sized onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons tbl Freshly chopped mint or 1 dried mint
1 tablespoon Freshly chopped parsley
1 Clove garlic, crushed
1 Egg
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Plain flour, for dusting
Vegetable oil, for shallow or deep frying

Preparation

Squeeze out excess water from the bread, leaving it quite dry.

Combine all the ingredients for the kofte and mix well.

Make walnut-shaped balls and keep them covered until they are to be cooked.

Then roll them lightly in flour and fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden all over.
