Skillet Spaghetti Pizza

Ingredients

1 pound bulk sausage, cooked and drained
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 pound whole wheat thin spaghetti (break into 2 inch pieces)
2 cups water
diced green onion and fresh basil/oregano minced to sprinkle on top (optional)

Preparation

1
You will need to use a saute pan that is about 3 inches high on the sides. After you cook and drain the sausage put it back into the same pan and add the garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Saute 2 or 3 minutes.
2
Add spaghetti sauce, water, and pasta broken into 2 inch pieces.
3
Simmer 15 minutes or so over medium heat. You want most of the liquid gone so keep it covered but cracked a little bit. If it is still too watery just take the lid off for the last 5 minutes.
4
Top with cheese, green onions, and fresh herbs if you are using them. Stick under the broiler for a few minutes to melt and brown the top.
5
Take out and let cool 10 or 15 minutes before serving
