Hot Dog Bean Soup

Ingredients

1 pound great northern beans

2 qt. water

1 1/2 cups diced celery

1 1/2 cups diced carrots

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup chopped onions

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup chicken broth

1 pound Oscar Mayer all beef franks, sliced

Preparation

Soak beans as directed on package. Place beans, water, carrots, celery, onions, salt, pepper and garlic powder in large, deep pot. Stir well. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered 2 hours or until beans are done. Remove 1/2 cup bean mixture and mash well. In small saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and cook, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add chicken broth, blend well. Stir into soup and add wieners an
